The result of radiosurgery treatment may vary\ndepending on the effect of the ionizing gamma\nrays directed by the device at the focal point on\nthe tissue. The results are usually not\nimmediate. The radiation passing through the\ntissue may cause changes in cell function,\nleading to cell death or cell division.
